10 Best Instagram Growth Services (Honest Review)

Search for an Instagram growth service and you land in one of the least honest corners of the marketing industry. Most of what ranks is an automation bot dressed up as 'organic growth', an engagement scheme promising a fixed number of followers per month, or a shop that simply sells fake accounts by the hundred. We reviewed 10 of the best-known services alongside our own, checked every live pricing page in July 2026, and classified each one by how the growth actually happens: automated bot tools, human-powered services, and outright follower sellers.

Full disclosure: Feedbird is our service, and it's first on this list. We are obviously not neutral, so we have kept every claim checkable. Prices come from the providers' own pricing pages, and we say plainly which services rely on automation that Instagram's terms of service prohibit. Check the data yourself before buying anything, including from us.

Twicsy$2.97 per 100 followers1.3/5 (Trustpilot, 83)fast delivery when orders arriveconstant follower drops, refunds nearly impossible

The pattern in the reviews: Across this category the review platforms repeat the same four stories: follower spikes that turn out to be ghost accounts and purge within weeks, billing that continues after cancellation or hides an annual lock-in, refund requests that go nowhere, and Instagram action blocks or suspensions tied to automation. Feedbird's model is structured differently because it sells content rather than followers: you approve everything before it ships, pricing is flat and published, there are no contracts or notice periods, and revisions are included. A dedicated team produces the work and publishing is included for content services, with a 14-day money-back guarantee on creative services (posts, videos, blogs, email design, ads creative).

A note on the classifications: of the 11 services here, only three (Feedbird, Ampfluence and Social Boost) have humans doing the engagement. Six are automation tools of varying sophistication, and two sell followers outright. That ratio is the industry in miniature.

1. Feedbird, manual growth run by a real person

Feedbird's Instagram growth service is $149/mo flat. You get a dedicated personal growth manager who engages with your target audience manually, from real devices. Never bots, never automation. Targeting is customized to your niche, content style and location, and clients typically see 100 to 400+ new targeted followers per month. Those are real accounts, and we do not guarantee specific counts, because nobody honestly can. The first two weeks are a deliberate warm-up before we ramp to full pace, and you get monthly growth and engagement reports so you can see exactly what happened.

  • Fully managed: a named human runs your growth, not software you configure
  • Manual engagement from real devices, which keeps you inside Instagram's rules
  • Custom targeting by niche, content and location
  • Monthly growth and engagement reports
  • No contract, cancel anytime

Watch out for: growth starts deliberately slow (the 2-week warm-up), the numbers are smaller than what bot services promise, and Instagram Growth is not covered by our 14-day money-back guarantee, which applies to creative services only. See the service page and pricing for full details.

2. Kicksta

Kicksta is one of the longest-running names in the space, selling automated engagement for over a decade at $69/mo, or $39/mo on yearly billing, with a 7-day trial. The tool engages with the audiences of competitor accounts you select, using AI to pick targets. The catch is in the mechanics: this is automation running on your account, which is what Instagram's terms of service prohibit, and reviews consistently flag the low quality of the followers it attracts. The brand's longevity is real, but the model underneath has not changed. See the full Feedbird vs Kicksta comparison.

What clients say: On Trustpilot (2.3 from 600+ reviews) some users call the dashboard straightforward and support helpful, but the most repeated complaints are difficult cancellation and batches of new followers that turn out to be bots.

3. Path Social

Path Social is the most heavily marketed service on this list, promising 1,000 to 2,000 followers per month through what it describes as an influencer network, from $29/mo promo pricing that renews at $59. The growth guarantee sounds reassuring until you sit with it: no one can guarantee fixed quantities of genuinely organic followers, because real people do not sign up on a schedule. Users report ghost and low-engagement followers despite the organic claims. See the full Feedbird vs Path Social comparison.

What clients say: On Trustpilot (3.4 from 1,600+ reviews) happier clients say the service brought activity and exposure to their accounts, while the dominant complaints are followers that spike then quietly drop off and charges that continue after unsubscribing.

4. UpGrow

UpGrow sells AI-powered growth from $69/mo on its Basic plan, promising 1,000 to 2,000 'real' followers per month. To its credit, it does not ask for your password, and it offers a money-back guarantee. But fixed follower quantities are simply not how organic growth works, and a promise of 1,000+ real followers a month at $69 should raise the same eyebrow as any other deal that seems too good. See the full Feedbird vs UpGrow comparison.

What clients say: On Trustpilot (3.6 from 3,400+ reviews) fans report fast follower gains within weeks, but a recurring complaint is being charged after cancellation and getting no reply from support, and independent testing flagged a large share of ghost followers.

5. Plixi

Plixi is Flock Social rebranded, selling an AI growth engine from $49/mo on the yearly Basic plan and promising 1,000 to 1,500 followers monthly, 'guaranteed results or free'. The product looks slick, but a guaranteed follower count is the classic red flag for pod or bot activity. If a service can promise the number in advance, the growth is not organic, whatever the landing page says.

What clients say: On Trustpilot (1.8 from 300+ reviews) the pattern is stark, with reviewers reporting bot followers, surprise annual charges, and unanswered emails, a sharp contrast to the 4.9 rating quoted on Plixi's own site.

6. Nitreo

Nitreo has been around since 2018 and starts from $19/mo on yearly billing. It automates follows, likes and story-views from your account. That follow/unfollow pattern is the oldest trick in Instagram growth and the one the platform polices hardest: it directly violates Instagram's terms, and users report action blocks. It is very cheap, and that is the whole pitch.

What clients say: On Trustpilot (2.1 from 120+ reviews, over half of them 1-star) reviewers report paying for a service that never materialized or delivered bot accounts, with refund requests routinely ignored.

7. Upleap

Upleap also starts from $19/mo on yearly billing and offers automated growth with hashtag targeting and welcome DMs, plus a 7-day trial. It appears to be a white-label of Nitreo's bot, so everything above applies here too: same automation, same ToS exposure, same risk of action blocks on your account.

What clients say: On Trustpilot (2.9 from 150+ reviews) a few users report quick follower jumps, but the loudest complaints say the new followers were bots with no interest in their posts and that support never responded.

8. Ampfluence

Ampfluence is one of the few genuinely human services on this list: a US-based team doing 100% human-powered engagement, no bots, for roughly 250+ followers per month. The honesty costs money, though. At $249/mo on the Growth plan it is the most expensive subscription here, and users describe results as slow and inconsistent for the price. Legitimate model, steep cost per follower.

What clients say: Ampfluence shows 4.2 on Trustpilot but from only 6 reviews, far too thin a footprint to lean on for a monthly subscription, and third-party reviewers note slow progress and a strict no-refund stance.

Marketing that pays for itself.

For $99/mo a dedicated team runs your social media and drives real engagement, far less than hiring in-house.

9. Social Boost

Social Boost gives you a human growth manager who engages with your target audience daily, at $129/mo on the Premium plan, backed by a 30-day refund guarantee. It is refreshingly honest about pace, quoting 150 to 500 followers per month rather than fantasy numbers. It does require account access to do the work. Alongside Feedbird and Ampfluence, this is one of the few options here we would call legitimate.

What clients say: On Trustpilot (4.0 from 370+ reviews) clients praise professional, responsive staff and genuine growth, while the recurring complaint is refund refusals despite the advertised cancel-anytime policy.

10. Buzzoid

Buzzoid does not pretend to grow anything: it sells followers at $2.99 per 100, delivered instantly, along with likes and views. What you get are fake and bot accounts that will never engage with a single post, drag your engagement rate down, and stand a good chance of being purged by Instagram. Instant vanity numbers, real long-term cost.

What clients say: On Trustpilot (2.0 from 99 reviews, roughly 70 percent of them 1-star) the defining complaint is purchased followers vanishing within weeks while refill promises go unmet, though buyers do say initial delivery is fast.

11. Twicsy

Twicsy is the same category as Buzzoid, selling followers at $2.97 per 100 with drip-fed delivery to look slightly less obvious. The accounts are aged or fake profiles that never engage. Drip-feeding changes the optics, not the outcome: bought followers are dead weight on your account from day one.

What clients say: On Trustpilot (1.3 from 83 reviews) reviewers describe fast initial delivery followed by constant follower drops, endless refill requests, and refund attempts that go nowhere.

How much should Instagram growth cost?

The market splits into four clear bands. At the bottom, $19/mo buys you a bot (Nitreo, Upleap): cheap because software costs nothing to run, and risky because automation is what gets accounts action-blocked. From $29 to $69/mo you get AI tools with big follower promises (Path Social, Plixi, UpGrow, Kicksta); the promises are the tell, because organic growth cannot be quoted in advance. Real human services run $129 to $249/mo: Social Boost at $129, Feedbird at $149 flat, Ampfluence at $249. And follower shops charge about $3 per 100 fake accounts, which is money spent making your account measurably worse.

What predicts value is not price, it is method. A human doing manual engagement costs more than a script, which is exactly why the honest services cluster in the $129 to $249 range and quote follower numbers in the low hundreds, not thousands.

How to choose an Instagram growth service

  • Who, or what, actually does the engagement? If the answer is software, your account carries the ToS risk.
  • Does it promise a fixed follower count per month? Real organic growth cannot be scheduled, so guaranteed numbers are a red flag.
  • What do the followers look like afterwards? Ghost followers inflate the count and sink your engagement rate.
  • Is there a real person accountable for your account, with reporting you can check monthly?
  • Can you cancel anytime, and is the pricing you saw the pricing you keep after the promo ends?

The bottom line

Most Instagram growth services are bots or follower shops, and the few honest ones grow accounts by hundreds per month, not thousands. If you want a real person growing your account manually, with monthly reporting and no contract, Feedbird's Instagram growth is $149/mo flat. See how the service works or view pricing.
